One Room Challenge…guest bedroom/boy room
Once again I have challenged myself to do the One Room Challenge in hopes that I will get it done sooner. I don’t have any sponsors (again) so I am actually just trying to use what I already have and a lot of elbow grease.
We have 3 main big things that we are focused on and that is:
1.The floor. We already pulled up all of the linoleum tiles, but still have the glue.
2.The closet. It needs another rod and shelves and has pipes that we are going to have to deal with. We plan on it being white.
3. And the main wall where we are going to put up board and batten. Which we are probably going to paint white. There is alot of wood in this room but we really don’t want to paint this room at all. But we’ll see what the future holds.
We actually need a guest room and a space for all The Boy’s stuff like clothes and toys, but he will still sleep in our room for a little longer. I am going to post pics, but you have to keep in mind this used to be called The Room of Shame because it stored EVERYTHING we didn’t have room for, or things we just didn’t want to deal with at the moment, and all the kids’ crafts. So be gentle with your thoughts! It was a room we never even touched!
We cleared everything out, and I’m installing the closet rod in the closet tomorrow. And I’m taking the white shelf down from above the closet. We also need to figure out a better storage system above the door where that hideous piece of old plywood is. And of course different lighting.
Oh and how about that accordion door on the closet? Tempting to keep, I know….
